So, is powerade zero good for those with diabetes? as with other diet drinks, in moderation powerade is an acceptable thirst quencher and source of electrolytes.. No, it is not good for diabetes. but a person who has diabetes can drink it to bring up low blood sugar. if a person with diabetes simply chooses to drink it because they like it then he/she will have to take extra insulin to cover the carbs..
Powerade zero has actually made it possible for me to ‘kik’ my soda habit and have a ‘flavorful’ drink as a diabetic. i get heart palpitations from any nutrasweet products — so the fact that pazero uses splenda is the added bonus and reason i went to it..
